François Bordeleau

Lawyer

François joined Sicotte Guilbault in April 2024 after a career of over 25 years with the federal government, notably with the Department of Justice and the Canada Revenue Agency.
After completing a bachelor's degree in economics and political science, François was called to the Ontario Bar in 1998 after graduating cum laude from the University of Ottawa Law School's French Common Law program.

Before joining Sicotte Guilbault, François worked for the Department of Justice, where he practiced tax litigation. He then completed CPA Canada's in-depth income tax course and worked for over 15 years in the Income Tax Rulings Directorate of the Canada Revenue Agency, where he honed his knowledge of personal, partnership, trust and corporate taxation.

After a rich career with the federal government, François is taking on a new challenge and wants to put his expertise to work for the community. He joins Sicotte Guilbault's tax law team to support and advise his clients in their interactions with the Canada Revenue Agency.

With François, you can be confident that your tax obligations will be met, and that a special effort will be made to not only preserve your financial wealth, but also to make it grow.
In his spare time, François enjoys working on his vintage car (a 1969 Ford Galaxie), motorcycling with his wife, a wide range of sports, weight training and spending quality time with his three handsome boys.

Don't hesitate to call on François for all your tax needs, from business planning to representation before the Canada Revenue Agency.
François offers his services in both official languages.
