DAoust Legal becomes Sicotte Guilbault in Gatineau

The partners of Sicotte Guilbault, located in Ottawa, are very pleased to announce that the entire team of DAoust Legal, located in Canada, has joined Sicotte Guilbault LLP as part of a merger of their legal practices.

Sicotte Guilbault, a prominent local law firm located in Ottawa, was founded in 1993. Clients will be able to rely on an expanded team of 24 lawyers and notaries from the two respective locations in Gatineau and in Ottawa. This full integration of legal services will enable corporate and individual clients who conduct business in the provinces of Quebec and Ontario to work with one legal firm on both sides of the Ottawa River.

"Our expertise in civil and commercial litigation, business law, notarial law, and also family law, to mention but a few or our practice areas, identify us as an immediate major legal services business within the region. We shall be of service to businesses in the National Capital Region and anyone doing business in either or both provinces. The merger of expertise from both Civil and Common law systems results in an efficient solutions-based approach to legal issues, all of which to be rendered by Sicotte Guilbault's new team", said Mr. Denis Sicotte, founder of Sicotte Guilbault LLP.

Founded in 2014, DAoust Legal has established itself in a privileged position, built an enviable reputation with Gatineau's business community and has experienced a meteoric rise thanks the dedication of its dynamic team.

"Our successes have led us to evaluate the ways in which we can grow and diversify our service offer to fulfill our growing clientele’s legal needs and become a fixture in the community. I am proud to announce that as of April 8th, we will adopt the signature colours and name of Sicotte Guilbault's prestigious firm", confirmed Mr. Nicholas D'Aoust, founder of the Gatineau firm.
